COTSWOLD LIFE’S RESTAURANT OF THE YEAR 2010

What a way to recognise 18 months of hard work! We were thrilled to receive Cotswold Life Magazine’s Restaurant of the Year Award 2010 on Monday evening. Jon & I would like to say a great big Thank you to all of our wonderful customers, suppliers & of course our fantastic Team here at the restaurant who have supported us since taking over at Lumière.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with the awards; The Cotswold Life Food & Drink Awards are one of the most exciting occasions in the Cotswolds calendar, the black tie awards dinner was held at Cheltenham Racecourse on Monday and compèred by Steve Knibbs from BBC Points West.

There are a number of different Food & Drink related categories categories, with the finalists, who this year also included Michael Caines, David Everitt-Matthias, Lords of The Manor & Gordon Ramsey’s FWord finalists The Curry Corner, selected from reader & customer nominations then secretly visited by a judging panel who make the final decisions.

Our judges comments stated that our dining experience was second to none, the quality & provenance of the food, presentation of the dishes, ambience of the restaurant and knowledgeable service were all highly commended.
